First, we all hope that Gov. Baldacci and his driver will be all right.

The question is, were the roads sanded at 6 a.m.?

My complaint for years has been, why does the MDOT start at 7 a.m. and not earlier, so as to make the roads safe for the working public, who travel before 7 a.m. and pay their salaries.

Many times the roads are icy through the night, but no sanding starts until 7 a.m.
