I have two comments about the recent Janet Jackson Super Bowl escapade.

First, the FCC instantly announced that it would launch an investigation into the half-time show, yet it took George Bush one week, after first resisting, to announce an investigation into the so-called intelligence failures that formed the basis for his rationale for going to war in Iraq.

Second, the recent FCC regulations that make it easier for fewer and fewer big corporations to control more and more media are far more dangerous to our democracy than Janet Jackson’s bare breast is to our morals.
