What’s the big difference between Janet Jackson’s three-second breast shot during the halftime show and the numerous performers during the Grammys, such as the close-up shot of Christina Aguilera and her near-full frontal, or Black Eye Peas and her barely covered body. And that’s just to name a few.
And would somebody please explain to me what is happening to the world of so-called performing arts? The Grammys were full of performers that stand up there and screech and holler; to tell you the truth, I didn’t see much difference between MTV’s bomb of a halftime show and CBS’s thrown-together presentation of the Grammy Awards.
The only way that I was moved by most of the performers was to the next room until it was over. In fact, I took advantage of the time during one of the performances to take out the trash, maybe CBS should consider doing the same.
The Grammys were riddled with technical difficulties (Celine Dion’s performance), poor sound quality (making even the better performances sound like they were singing in a tin can), poor selection of the performers, and bad decision-making as far as Justin Timberlake is concerned. After all, wasn’t he the one who ripped Janet’s top off to begin with? Then CBS let him perform?
A word to CBS: You know what they say about people who live in glass houses?
And to MTV: I wouldn’t be too insulted.
