Toyota has introduced the Tundra Double Cab to its full-size pickup truck line, featuring one of the longest beds and most comfortable rear seats of any full-size 4-door half-ton pickup on the market.

The new Tundra Double Cab is built on a stout ladder frame chassis that is longer than the chassis shared by the two-door Tundra Regular Cab and the four-door Tundra Access Cab. The Tundra Double Cab rides on a long 140.5-inch wheelbase, which is longer than the Ford F150 Super Crew. The Tundra Double Cab is available in V8 2WD and 4WD models in SR5 and Limited grades.

At 230.1 inches long, Tundra Double Cab is about 4 inches longer than the new-generation Ford F-150 Super Crew. Revised taillights for 2004 distinguish the Tundra Double Cab models, as well. At 74.3-inches, the Tundra Double Cab bed is within one-half inch of the Tundra Access Cab and approximately 7 inches longer than the bed in either the new Ford F-150 Super Crew or Nissan Titan Crew Cab. The 20.7-inch bed depth is nearly 4 inches greater than other Tundra models and is one of the deepest of any full-size four-door pickup.
