1909 – 2004
Auburn – Beatrice Theresa Conley, 94, passed away quietly on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Seville Park Plaza in Auburn, where she had been a resident for the last two years.
She was born in Lewiston Nov. 15, 1909 the daughter of John and Mary Mannion Conley.
She now joins her four sisters and two brothers in heaven.
She grew up in Lewiston, having been educated in the grammar schools of Lewiston, graduating from Lewiston High School and then graduating from Gorham Normal where she received a degree in education. She went on to become a loving teacher for 32 years, most of them with the second grade at Dingley School in Lewiston. Upon retirement, she and her sisters Mary and Katy lived in Old Orchard Beach. There, for 30 years, she enjoyed the company of her many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Lewiston and St. Margaret’s Parish in Old Orchard Beach, where she taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Maine State Retired Teacher’s Association.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her many friends and family members having been very devoted to her many nieces and nephews and whom are her survivors. She will always be remembered by her friends and family as one who enjoyed her life of teaching and always had a good sense of humor. May she rest in peace.
