St. Dom’s too powerful for Brunswick

BRUNSWICK – Mike Carpenter tallied a pair of goals to lead St. Dom’s to a 9-2 victory over Brunswick Monday afternoon.

Josh Dwinal posted a goal and three assists, while Ryan Guerin added a goal and an assist for the Saints (15-4). Pat Ouellette, Eric Russo, Cameron Robichaud, Tyler Martin, and Nick Stalford also scored.

Adam Talbot and Derek Paquete each notched a goal for Brunswick.

Fryeburg 10, Kents Hill 2

KENTS HILL – Kris Charlong netted a hat trick and recorded two assists as Fryeburg routed Kents Hill 10-2.

Bo Apt, Jordan Delong, and Nick Lawrence each tallied a pair of goals apiece and combined for 10 assists for the Raiders (14-5). Andrew Jump also scored. Joe Mango was solid in net stopping 28 of 30 shots.

Ben Kamill and Cam Staintker scored for Kents Hill (8-9).

Boys’ basketball
Oxford Hills 70, Lewiston 48

LEWISTON – Matt McDonnell and Corey Tielinen each posted 18 points to lead Oxford Hills to a 70-48 victory over Lewiston Monday evening.

Lief and Tom Kothe combined for 21 points for the Vikings (17-1).

Matt Dumais drained 15 points for the Blue Devils (7-10).

Mt. Blue 78, Leavitt 44

FARMINGTON – Brian Wells recorded 22 points, 23 rebounds, and four blocked shots as Mt. Blue dominated over Leavitt 78-44 in basketball action Monday.

Ted Neil added 15 points, while Steve Wells chipped in with 12 points and seven steals for the Cougars (12-5) win. Garrett Lake was credited with nine points and 11 boards for Mt. Blue as well. Mt. Blue posted an early lead of 41-16 over Leavitt going into the second half.

The Hornets (2-15) were paced by Jacob Witham with 13 points, while Jon Pirruccello added nine for the losing cause.

Brunswick 68,

Edward Little 39

AUBURN – Ralph Mims dominated the court with 17 points to spark Brunswick to a decisive 68-39 win over Edward Little.

Justin Gauvin and Doug Eichenger each drained 13 points for the Dragons (16-1). Brunswick was strong throughout the contest, posting double digit scores in all four quarters.

Kenny Poulin and Ryan Ford combined for 21 points to pace the Eddies (2-15).

Girls’ basketball
Mt. Blue 47, Leavitt 25

TURNER – Amy Mansir downed four 3-pointers to post a game-high 13 points as Mt. Blue rolled past Leavitt 47-25 in girls’ KVAC hoops action Monday.

Annie Dyer and Brittany Duncan combined for 15 points to pace Leavitt.

Lewiston 54, Oxford Hills 39

SOUTH PARIS – Amanda Bryant and Kelsea Varney poured in 13 points apiece to lead Lewiston to a 54-39 triumph over Oxford Hills Monday evening.

Tracey Bradley added 12 points for the Blue Devils (14-3) win. Lewiston allowed Oxford Hills to score only nine points combined in the second and fourth quarters of the contest.

The Oxford Hills effort was paced by Lauren Austin with 13 points.
