PARIS – The Social Outreach Committee of the First Universalist Church is hosting a series of social and informative sessions each Tuesday during March. These get-togethers are an opportunity to socialize, try something new and are free to all. The series is titled “Making It Through March.”
On March 2 and 9, Barbara Swan Frost will host a quilting session where the participants will make a quilted pillow. Each session will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. All materials will be furnished, but preregistration would be appreciated by calling Sharon Bouchard at 743-9228, ext. 102, 1-800-774-9228, ext. 102 or evenings at 743-9219. Respond by Feb. 23.
On March 16, Bouchard, published author and columnist, will facilitate a writing session from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants will be able to explore various forms of writing and have some fun with some unique writing exercises.
Renee Wales will host a candle art session from 1 to 3 p.m. March 23. Different techniques in decorating candles for holidays and home decor will be featured and everyone will decorate a candle to take home.
The final Tuesday of the series will be 2 to 4 p.m. March 30 and will be fun and games.
All gatherings are open to everybody at no charge, and refreshment will be served. The First Universalist Church is on Pine Street in South Paris.
