BETHEL – The 30th annual Heritage Day will be held at the Bethel Historical Society’s Regional History Center from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Hot Indian pudding will be served from the hearth of the winter kitchen of the Dr. Moses Mason House. Special tours of the museum will also be available. At the Robinson House, there will be traditional craft demonstrations, historical videos and an opportunity to visit the exhibits. The museum shop will be open as well.

GOP caucus

at Andover

ANDOVER – Bill Smith, chairman of the Andover Republican Committee, invited all registered local Republicans to caucus at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at the C.E.B. Building of Congregational Church.

The main purpose of the biennial caucus is to allow registered voters who are enrolled in the Republican Party to elect delegates and alternates to the Republican State Convention. The convention will be held May 14-15 at the Augusta Civic Center. Other business will be organizing the local committee and nominating members to the Andover County Republican Committee.

Winter Carnival at Carthage

CARTHAGE – A Winter Carnival sponsored by the Webb River Valley snowmobile club will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Carthage Town Office building. There will be an outdoor barbecue for members and the public. Events are planned with trophies and ribbons given to the winners. For more information phone 562-4253.

Blood drive slated

DIXFIELD – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Dixfield Masonic Hall on Route 2. Donors need to be 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health the day of the donation. Donors can give blood every eight weeks and new donations are needed every day to replenish supplies. For more information phone the Red Cross at (800) 482-0743.
