• Feb. 14, 4:45 p.m.: A North Street complainant reported that she was being harassed and intimidated by another area resident, who left before police arrived. The incident remains under investigation.

• Feb. 14: A Dix Avenue resident reported that snowmobiles have been unlawfully crossing her property even though she had erected a sign prohibiting any snowmobiles from crossing. Someone also removed the sign recently.

“Anyone observing persons operating snowmobiles on any streets in town or private property apart from marked trails is encouraged to call the Police Department,” said investigating officer Mark Dow.

• Feb. 13: Patrolman Jeffrey Howe and Chief Richard A. Pickett distributed information in the North Street area regarding registered sex offender Maxwell Fowler, who is living in the area.

According to the Maine Sex Offender Registry, Fowler, 26, was convicted twice of unlawful sexual contact on June 15, 1998, in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris. He was sentenced to 364 days in jail, which was all suspended but seven days.

He was also placed on probation for a year.

After distributing information in the North Street area about Maxwell on Feb. 13, Howe and Pickett then fielded a complaint from Maxwell regarding their actions.

• Feb. 12, 11 a.m.: Chief Pickett responded to a report of criminal threatening on Rowe Street. The incident remains under investigation.

• Feb. 8: An abandoned snowmobile was found on the ITS 82 trail, secured and identified by police, but an owner has yet to be located. Anyone having information regarding a missing snowmobile is asked to contact the Police Department.

Arrests

• Joseph B. Beggs, 21, of Carthage, on a charge of operating after habitual offender revocation, on Feb. 9 while operating a dirtbike on Taylor Road. He was released that night on $150 cash bail.

Summons

• E. Burke Anderson, 38, Medway, Mass., on a charge of imprudent speed on Weld Street, on Feb. 14 at 3:20 p.m.

• Michelle Moulton, 19, Cape Neddick, on a charge of speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 2, on Feb. 13 at 4:15 p.m.

• Linda Thomas, 41, of Mexico, on a charge of speeding 84 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 2, on Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

• Curtis Brann, 18, of Dixfield, on a charge of speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on Canton Point Road, on Feb. 11 at 6:30 a.m.

• John Grant, 46, of Mexico, on a charge of speeding 55 mph in a 35 mph zone on Canton Point Road, on Feb. 11 at 6 a.m.
