LIVERMORE FALLS – Three site plan reviews were approved by the Planning Board on Wednesday night.

Travis White and Heather Foss told the planners they were purchasing Rosy’s convenience store and the building it is in from Ken and Petra Jacques. Abutters had been notified, they said, and they plan to operate the Main Street business the same as it is being done now.

They will retain the same name and operate the same hours, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday, and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

They plan to begin Monday and will deliver takeout food to mills and schools, but not to private residences.

Approval was given to Extreme Martial Arts Academy, which has been located in the Paradis Building on Depot Street, to move to the former Primary School at 20 Baldwin St., where Curves is located.

Ransdall Luce said he will be located on the first floor in the large room next to Curves. The space has been carpeted and the room will be scraped and painted. Letters have been sent to abutters, Luce said.

Luce said his karate school meets from 4 to 8 p.m., three or four nights a week as well as an occasional Saturday.

The third business given approval was Adams Car Sales at 243 Park St., next to Isaacson’s, on his parents’ property. This will be a partnership with his parents with operating hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

He will be cleaning cars and selling used cars but will not do any repair work at the site. There will be no more than 15 vehicles on the property at any one time, he said.

Approval was given contingent to state approval for licensing, which includes building a 10-by 10-foot office attached to the garage.

The board closed the meeting with general discussion on the condition of commercial property in town some of which may have safety issues due to lack of structural integrity.

Code Enforcement Officer Brenda Medcoff will keep a record of those applying for home occupations and report them to the board.

Planners were urged to attend the Community Forum at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Murray Hall.
