1964 – 2004

WINTHROP – Timmy Lee Barrows, 39, of Winthrop, died Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Born in Augusta, Feb. 22, 1964, the son of Robert and Maxine (Emerson) Barrows, he graduated from Winthrop High School, Class of 1982 and the General Motors Dealer Business Academy. He was close to finishing his associate degree in business from the University of Maine at Augusta.

“Tim” was vice-president at Bob Barrows Chevrolet in Winthrop. He was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman and enjoyed spending time on his wood lot.

He was a member of SWOAM, Maine Bowhunters’ Association, NRA, Maine Trappers’ Association and the National Trappers’ Association. He was also past president of Sports Unlimited of Wayne and worked for Inland Fisheries and Wildlife as an animal damage control officer.

Survivors include his wife, Kelene of Winthrop; a brother, Tommy Barrows and his wife, Vonda of Winthrop; a sister, Cindy Hall and her husband, Gary of Monmouth; and a niece and nephew, Megan and Matthew Hall, both Monmouth.

He was predeceased by his father Jan. 5, 1995; and his mother July 26, 1998.
