LEWISTON – Club W!, in conjunction with the Stanton Bird Club, will offer a nature trek through one of Lewiston’s landmarks, the Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.
Members of the local women’s group will join naturalist Susan Hayward for a late winter wander through the forest trails of Thorncrag on snowshoes, cross country skis or hiking boots.
Participants will explore the mysteries of wildlife tracking, winter bird watching and snow ecology. Only a blizzard or a complete lack of snow will cancel the event. Families with children 9 years old and older are encouraged to attend.
A charge of $3 per person will include a light trail snack. Call Club W! at 777-4000 to register.
