Now is the time to show some support for the letter by Mr. Welch, principal of St. Dominic Regional High School, for his justified criticism of the Sun Journal in covering the appointment of Bishop Malone to the Maine Catholic diocese (Feb. 17).

Bishop Malone has served this area of Massachusetts recently and has done so with honor and respect. He is an articulate and intelligent man who will be missed here, to be sure, but will be for Maine’s benefit.
