RUMFORD – There will not be a dance Saturday, Feb. 21, at Le Paresseux Snowshoe club. The next scheduled dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Feb. 28. Music will be E/I Band. Members and guests are welcome.

Worthley Pond fishing derby

PERU – A fishing derby will be held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Worthley Pond. Cost is $5 per person, $20 maximum immediate family group. Prizes will be given for first, second and third place and the biggest trout will win $100 with a free mount. Sponsored by Worthley Pond Variety and Restaurant, Bass Bog Bait and Tackle, Ellis’ Variety, Community Energy Blaisdell’s, Dixfield Discount Fuels, Dead River, Unlimited, Roland’s Automotive and Holmes Market.
