PORTLAND – Jason G. Viola has been named an assistant vice president at Banknorth Investment Management Group in Lewiston. A financial adviser, he will continue to oversee account relationships and develop new business in the central Maine region.

A division of Banknorth Group, Inc., Banknorth Investment Management Group provides investment management, trust and other wealth-advisory services to individuals and businesses.

Viola joined Banknorth in 2000. He previously served as an institutional administrator and an institutional officer.

A Freeport resident, Viola serves on the Board of Directors for the Maine Music Society. He is a 1998 graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Mass. He is a 1994 graduate of Cheverus High School in Portland.
