PORTLAND – Jim Parker, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield general manager, announces changes to the Maine leadership team:

Mark Talluto has been named to a regional Anthem East position as account acquisition and retention program executive for the Service Design and Operating Model Initiative.

It is a critical initiative designed to enhance Anthem’s ability to deliver distinctive service at a competitive cost.

In his new role, Talluto will provide leadership to the program team. Previously Talluto led the sales organization at Anthem BCBS.

Erin Hoeflinger has been named to lead the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield sales organization in Maine. She brings broad and varied operational and health care management perspectives to this sales role. Previously she led the Anthem BCBS Maine operations organization.

Karen Andrews has been named to lead the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield operations organization in Maine. She has lead Anthem BCBS’s Machigonne Benefits Administrators organization for the past 17 years.

While continuing to lead that unit, Andrew will focus on the delivery of distinctive service to all Anthem BCBS customers the Maine.

Registered nurse Patricia Richards has been named vice president for health care management in Maine. She is responsible for all Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield health care management functions, including medical management, provider network management and contracting and quality management.

Richards came to Maine from a senior health care management position in Toledo, Ohio.
