AUBURN – April is National Community College Month and the Maine Community College System is planning to showcase the accomplishments of people who attended or graduated from a community college (in any state) and who are now living and working in Maine.

“By doing so, we hope to inspire a whole new generation of community college students,” said Alice Kirkpatrick, director of public affairs for the system.

To nominate a community volunteer or official, business owner or leader or any person whose achievements should be celebrated, contact Annee Tara, director of development at Central Maine Community College at 755-5275 or by e-mail at [email protected].
