LISBON – Coombs Mountfort Post and Auxiliary 158, American Legion, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the post home. Members are invited to attend.

Lenten series

LEWISTON – St. Joseph’s Parish will begin its annual Wednesday noon Lenten Lecture and Luncheon series on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The Rev. Michael Seavey, pastor of St. Joseph’s, will be the speaker after the noon Mass on Ash Wednesday. All are welcome.

Grange program

AUBURN – Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the hall. The program will be presented by Past Master William Hatch, chairman of the Agriculture Committee. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. Members and guests are welcome.

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will meet at noon Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Ramada Inn. Lewiston Mayor Lionel Guay will be the speaker. Anyone interested is welcome. Cost of the lunch is $7.

Wisdom’s events

LEWISTON – The Wisdom’s Center, 97 Blake St., will hold a special program, “How Children’s Stories Can Heal Children and Adults,” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27. Presenter will be Kenn Rancourt, staff member in behavioral medicine at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He is also a certified hospital chaplain.

“Wisdom on the Way to Work” will be held from 7 to 7:45 a.m. Monday, March 1, at the center. Women can spend some peacefully time before the day begins. Coffee and doughnuts will be available.

Another program, “Lenten Spirituality: Preparing Our Hearts for Easter,” will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the center. The evening will offer a time for prayer, reflection and sharing.

Distribution Day

AUBURN – Auburn AC Serve will hold Distribution Day from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Auburn Advent Christian Church, Whitney Street entrance. Registration for March will be taken. New and former participants are welcome. Call Janet at 784-2164 for details.
