As an independent voter, I always look for the nominees creditability. Avarice or greed has fed the lobbyists and special interest groups long enough. Too many jobs have gone overseas for tax shelters and profits. HMOs and drug companies need us as much as we need them. So let’s find a happy medium and work together so that we can prosper and become a better country.

In November, I plan on voting for the nominee that I trust, not the party. Personally, I would rather see John McCain on the Republican ticket than Bush. I have lost hope with Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft and Rumsfeld.

As for the Democratic Party, when I look at the New England Patriots “logo,” I see some resemblance to John Kerry as the front-runner. Maybe it’s the extended chin. I think of Howard Dean as the spark plug, for which I feel is the most responsible for waking up the ones that are registered non-voters. Then, I listen to John Edwards, whom I think would make a good president or vice president.

Since Dean has dropped out, I surely hope that either Kerry or Edwards can put aside their differences and, together, take back the White House from the special interest groups.
