JAY – A 12-year-old boy is doing well after being injured in a single-snowmobile crash Sunday, his mother said.

Joey Roy broke his arm in the accident, said Rae-Ellen Roy who was riding on the back of the sled when the accident happened near Belanger Road. Her son broke two bones in his arm, she said.

Maine Warden Tom Jacobs was unavailable for comment Monday.

Last month, Jay selectmen had praised Roy for his good deeds in the community.
