NORTH YARMOUTH – Andrew Pyres found the net at the 14:37 mark of the third period to lift No. 2 Yarmouth to a 2-1 win over No. 7 Leavitt in the Western Class B hockey quarterfinals Tuesday evening.

Pyres put Yarmouth (15-3-2) on the board in the second period when he redirected a pass from Ross Fletcher into the net. Alex Bubier turned away 16 shots in net to notch the win.

Corey Mailett tallied the lone goal for the Hornets off a feed from Justin Roulet in the second period. Kenny Gauthier made an impressive 35 saves in net for the Hornets (7-13).
