The people came to this country to get away from religious persecution. Our forefathers, when they formed our Constitution, called for a separation of church and state, so that no church could take over our government and do the same.

It was a separation of church and state, not God and state. This is a Christian country, and has been for over 200 years. We have “In God We Trust” on our coins. I can remember having prayer in school, and singing a few hymns in our music class. Evolution is taught in our school, for which there is no scientific possibility, but we don’t get equal time for the biblical explanation.

It’s about time the Supreme Court put the correct interpretation to the phrase “church and state” and stop trying to strip the Ten Commandments out of everything we do.

Children don’t get a chance to learn about God anymore, and consequently, the prisons and reformatories are overflowing.
