1947 – 2004

LEWISTON – Rolande J. Deschaines, 56, of Lisbon Falls died Tuesday, Feb. 24, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was born in Lewiston March 15, 1947, the daughter of Alfred and Alphonsine Pender Tardif. She was educated in Lewiston schools and on Aug. 2, 1969, married John O. Deschaines. Together they made their home in Lisbon Falls.

She was a homemaker and for a short while worked as a PCA in the local area. She was a member of Our Lady Of The Rosary in Sabattus. She enjoyed cooking and antiquing. Her greatest pleasure in life however was the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed but always remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, John of 34 years; their children, Amy B. Deschaines of Coos Bay, Ore., Eric of Gray, Scott of Bowdoinham, and John J. of Lisbon Falls; two grandchildren, Krysten Deschaines of Bowdoinham, and Destiney Deschaines of Lisbon Falls; two sisters, Terry and her husband Bert Gendron of Lewiston, and Dorothy Ritchie of Auburn; one brother, Fern Tardif of Mechanic Falls; and her daughter, Sarah Knight and her four children, Crystal, Jon, Brandon and McKala.
