WASHINGTON – Kobe Bryant’s first triple-double of the season helped the Los Angeles Lakers pull away in the fourth quarter for a 122-110 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
Bryant finished with 25 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, and came up big for the Lakers in several key moments. He hit a 3-pointer at the third-quarter buzzer to help stop a Wizards’ run, and his alley-oop pass to Shaquille O’Neal with 6:30 left in the fourth started an 18-4 run that put the game out of reach.
Gilbert Arenas finished with 35 points for the Wizards on 12-of-23 shooting. He tied a franchise record set by Rex Chapman in 1994 by making eight 3-pointers.
Nets 92, Heat 86
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Kenyon Martin had 18 points, 15 rebounds and an incredible late block as the New Jersey Nets got back on track after losing for the first time under Lawrence Frank with a 92-86 win over the Miami Heat on Saturday.
Jefferson added 25 points and Jason Kidd had four free throws in the final 21.2 seconds to cap a 20-point effort in helping the Nets’ rally from a 10-point halftime deficit.
The win was the Nets 15th in 16 games overall, and their 14th in 15 games since Frank replaced Byron Scott as coach of the two-time defending Eastern Conference champions.
Magic 104, Hawks 99
ATLANTA – Tracy McGrady scored 26 of his 30 points before injuring his right ankle, and the Orlando Magic snapped a two-game losing skid by beating the Atlanta Hawks 104-99 Saturday night.
McGrady, the leading scorer in the NBA at 27.6 points per game, landed awkwardly on the foot of defender Stephen Jackson after missing a jumper late in the third quarter and immediately began favoring his foot.
On the other end, McGrady grabbed Bob Sura’s jersey for a foul to stop the clock, then left the game.
Pacers 81, 76ers 74
INDIANAPOLIS – Jermaine O’Neal and Al Harrington were simply too strong for the banged-up Philadelphia 76ers.
O’Neal had 23 points and eight rebounds, while Harrington finished with 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Indiana Pacers past the 76ers 81-74 on Saturday night.
Indiana won for the fourth time in five games and won its third straight over the 76ers this season. The Pacers can sweep the season series by winning at Philadelphia on April 12.
Grizzlies 97, Hornets 92
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – James Posey went from being listed as questionable for the game with a leg injury to scoring 24 points and leading the Memphis Grizzlies to a 97-92 win over the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday night.
Posey, who could only walk through the team’s shootaround earlier in the day because of a right quadriceps contusion, connected on nine of 15 shots as Memphis snapped a two-game losing streak.
Spurs 117, Nuggets 92
SAN ANTONIO – Tony Parker picked up the slack for the injured Tim Duncan on Saturday night, scoring a season-high 29 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 117-92 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
San Antonio’s defense frustrated Denver in the fourth, limiting the Nuggets to only six field goals.
Mavericks 111, Blazers 91
DALLAS – Antoine Walker had 25 points and eight rebounds, Steve Nash added 22 points and 11 assists and the Dallas Mavericks extended their winning streak to five games with a 111-91 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.
Dirk Nowitzki contributed 21 points and seven rebounds to help Dallas to its seventh straight win at home.

Zach Randolph had 18 points, and Darius Miles and Damon Stoudamire added 16 points each for Portland, which lost at Houston on Friday to snap a five-game winning streak.
The weary Trail Blazers completed a four-game road trip over a six-day span.
After trailing at halftime by 18 points, the Trail Blazers made one last run in the fourth quarter, pulling as close as 84-77 with 8:59 left on Miles’ dunk.
But Dallas increased its lead to 92-79 with 6:20 left as Walker’s layup capped an 8-2 spurt. Portland never got closer than 10 the rest of the way.
The Mavericks led by as many as 22 (70-48) early in the third quarter before the Trail Blazers fought back with a 22-6 run. Miles had eight points during the stretch, reducing the deficit to 76-70.
Dallas took an 80-70 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Mavericks shot 56.5 percent in the first half and built a 66-48 halftime edge. Walker had 15 first-half points and Nash added 14, helping Dallas to a lead as large as 20 points.
