MEXICO – A Citizen’s Advisory Board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 2 , at the Town Office. Items on the agenda a public hearing and consideration of any new applications for businesses utilizing Community Development Block Grant funds.

The board members also plan to create an application form for people wanting to “adopt a spot,” have an update of information on “Night of 1,000 Ideas,” and update on turnpike signage.

Program on Lifeline

RUMFORD – Rhonda Jordan, a registered nurse from Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, will present information on Lifeline services at a Lunch and Learn Lifeline Seminar at 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, at SeniorsPlus, 50 Congress St.

Androscoggin Home Care offers Lifeline services to residents in the River Valley Communities of Andover, Bethel, Byron, Canton, Dixfield, Mexico, Peru, Roxbury, Rumford and Weld. The wearable Lifeline device provides a quick telephone response from trained Lifeline staff in the event of a medical emergency.

The menu will include stuffed chicken breast, broccoli/cauliflower medley with cheese sauce and homemade date-filled cookies. The suggested donation is $2.50 for those 60 and over or people with disabilities, and $4 for those under 60. For reservations, people can call Kim at 364-3572.
