1918 – 2004
JAY – Glennice Irene Smith, 85, of Intervale Road, Jay, died Friday evening, Feb. 27, at her home.
She was born July 28, 1918, a daughter of Frank and Daisy (Blaisdell) Latham. She received her education in the one room school house on the Intervale Road in Jay and on Oct. 5, 1941, married Ralph Smith in Bethel.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and enjoyed her home and her family. She crocheted and knit slippers, worked in her flower gardens, and enjoyed feeding birds and animals.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ralph of Jay; a daughter, Donna Smith and her companion Edwin Tibbetts of Jay.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Maurice Latham, Leona Spiller, George Latham, Bernice Ryder, Mildred Monteith, Ralph Latham and Martha James.
