LIVERMORE FALLS – March is Mission Emphasis month at the Emmanual Assembly of God. Each week in March there will be a missionary speaker for the morning and evening service.
Leroy and Donna VanWhy will be the guest speakers at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, March 7. The VanWhys have been approved as missionaries to the Phillippines. Roger and Sharon Holland will be the guest speakers for the 6 p.m. service. The Hollands are missionaries to Bolivia. The Rev. Duane Somero will be the guest speaker for the 10 a.m. Sunday, March 14. Somero works with a deaf ministry. Mel Tod of Caring Connection will be the guest speaker for the 6 p.m. service.

Illustrated talk
on Calcutta
WILTON – Susan Conroy, author and artist, will lecture and show slides of Calcutta, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at the First Congregational Church, Main Street, sponsored by the Wiltona Women’s Club. Refreshments and book signing following. Conroy spent time with Mother Teresa in Calcutta and is the author of “Mother Teresa’s Lessons of Love and Secrets of Sanctity.”
Historical Society hosts speaker
WILTON – The Wilton Historical Society will open its 41st year with a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at the society’s building next to the former Bass factory.
President Warren Rollins said Thomas Saviella, who serves this area in the Maine House of Representatives, will speak on legislative concerns that affect Wilton and neighboring towns. After the meeting there will be a tour for those interested of the facility and exhibits. Refreshments will be served.
