NORWAY – The March 7th service at the Norway Unitarian Universalist church will center around the Rev. Joy Gasta’s sermon on the popular novel, “The DaVinci Code.” Worship services begin at 11 a.m., led by Gasta, with Music Director Heather Pierson and the choir. Religious education starts at 11:15 a.m. Children attend the first part of the service with their parents. A coffee social immediately follows the service. All are welcome. The church is located at 479 Main St.
Scrapbooking
OXFORD – Tammy Potter, Creative Memories consultant, is doing a scrapbooking night to benefit the Boxberry School from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 8. AARP speaker
PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the VFW hall on East Main Street in South Paris. If there is no school due to a storm, the group will meet the next day. The speaker will be Elizabeth Bennoch, human resource manager at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She will speak about the new volunteer program at the hospital. Anyone over 50 years of age is welcome.
Library sleepover
NORWAY – Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to join the Norway Memorial Library passenger train. The youths will hop aboard for a night at the library from 7 p.m. Friday, March 19, to 9 a.m., Saturday, March 20. Conductors will direct passengers in a scavenger hunt that will reveal the destination. Snacks and breakfast will be served in the dining cart. Preregistration is a must and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited to 15 children. For more information, call Amy at 743-5308.
