The Elm Street School Lady J.V. Wildcats have dreamed, played, and conquered…AGAIN! For the second season in a row the Lady J.V Wildcats have been able to outwit, outmatch, and outplay the other surrounding available. They were coached again this year by none other than Elm Street School computer teacher Mrs. Cyndi Matthews or more comfortably known as Coach M. She has nothing but praise for her team and its efforts. This year the J,V team did not have any fifth graders. The varsity team consists of all eighth graders except for lucky three Kendra (Frog) Vyr, Alexa (Squeaky Shoes) Doyer, and Jennifer (Jenny B) Baril; three seventh graders who were privileged enough to be able to be on both J.V. and Varsity teams.

Alexa Doyer reports that, “It is almost better this way since double the playing time means more time for us three to practice on our areas that need work. It is nothing that any of us regrets. We all love it since we really want this time with friends and just since we love basketball. We can’t get enough of it”

Technically they are on varsity since they tried out and made the cut but the junior varsity and varsity both think of them as teammates and friends.

The team consists of seventh graders, Alexa Doyer, power forward and center; Jennifer Baril, guard and point; Kendra Vyr, guard and point; Captain Danielle Mercure point and guard; Ashley Game, forward and center; Krystyn Giradin, forward; Michelle Roberts, point guard and forward.

Sixth graders: Lindsay Kasik, forward; Captain Tasha Piirainen, point and guard; Brittany Michaud, point and guard; Samantha St. Pierre, forward; Chelsea Toth, forward and speaking captain Kelly Bickford, guard and point.

Managers: Samantha Marquis and Courtney Phillips.

Congrats to the team AGAIN!
