1910 – 2004
BERLIN, N.H. – Armand F. Bisson, 93, of 105 Mason St., Berlin, N.H., passed away on Tuesday, March 2, at Androscoggin Valley Hospital.
Born in Berlin, N.H., Aug. 22, 1910, the son of Joseph and Odelie Duquette Bisson, he was a lifelong resident of Berlin.
He was a self-employed wood trucker and owned and operated Bisson’s Sugar House in Berlin. He was an avid gardener and cultivated strawberries and raspberries for sale at his vegetable stand on Cates Hill Road.
He was a member of St. Anne Parish, now known as Good Shepherd, the Sacred Heart League and White Mountain Post 2520, VFW in Berlin. He was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in India during World War II.
He was like a father and grandfather through the years to the Roberge family after they lost their father in a logging accident in 1960. He was generous and caring to all of his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Olivette Roberge of Berlin, N.H.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Juliette Fournier Bisson on Feb. 4, 1990; five brothers, Adelard, Sauveur, Edgar, Lucien and Laurier Bisson; and two sisters, Bertha Lessard and Lucienne Dion Charland.
