TURNER – Bruce Conant, chairman of the Turner Republican Committee, has issued an invitation to all local, registered Republicans to caucus at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Multi-Purpose Center at 145 Birch St., Lewiston. The caucus will be preceded by registration from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and a program featuring candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, State Senate and State House at 10 a.m.

The main purpose of the biennial caucus is to allow voters who are registered in the Republican Party to elect delegates and alternates to the Republican State Convention. The convention will be held May 14 and 15 at the Augusta Civic Center.

Other business of the local caucus will include the organization of the local committee and the nomination of members to the Androscoggin County Republican Committee.
