• Feb. 26, 12:30 p.m.: Caller from Mountain Valley High School reported that a student’s unlocked car had been burglarized at 7:45 a.m. A wallet containing $100, two gift certificates and Maine driver’s license was stolen, along with a tan purse.

• Feb. 26, 7:30 and 8 a.m.: Two Swain Road residents reported that their mailboxes and a posts were damaged overnight. Damage was estimated at $60 total.

• Feb. 25, 9 p.m.: Ongoing investigation into a possible child pornography incident. No other details divulged.

• Feb. 24: Information received about an alleged incident of possible sexual abuse of a child. Sgt. Stacy Carter is investigating.

• Feb. 24: Investigation started on possible assault of an 8-year-old girl at a Waldo Street residence. No other details available.

• Feb. 24, 8:30 a.m.: A Virgin Street resident reported that someone stole her diamond ring, which is valued at $4,000, from her apartment sometime between last week and the morning of Feb. 24.

• Feb. 23, 9:50 a.m.: Assistant principal at Mountain Valley High School reported an uncooperative male student. Officer investigated, summoned Jerry Busby, 18, of Rumford, on a charge of criminal mischief for breaking a window during an alleged confrontation with another student. Damage was estimated at $250. Busby is to be arraigned on April 6 at Rumford District Court.

• Feb. 23, 9:55 a.m.: Knox Street resident reported the theft of license plates. A suspect allegedly involved denied taking the plates. Incident remains under investigation.

• Feb. 21, 3 p.m.: Cumberland Street resident reported that someone slashed all four tires on his girlfriend’s 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier at about 3 p.m. on Feb. 20 while it was parked in a lot on Cumberland Street. The windshield was also damaged. Damage was estimated at $700.

ARRESTS

• Herbert T. Little, 40, of East Burke, Vt., on charges of operating after suspension in another state, and speeding 70 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on Route 2, on Feb. 24. He was arraigned the same day in Rumford District Court.

• Lacey B. Hackett, 21, of Rumford, on a warrant charging failure to pay a fine, on Feb. 20. She was released on $240 cash bail.

SUMMONS

• Susan Richard, 47, of Rumford, on charges of operating after suspension and having an expired inspection sticker, on Feb. 26. She is to be arraigned on April 6 in Rumford District Court.

• Peter Merrill, 44, of Rumford, on a charge of possession of a usable amount of marijuana, on Feb. 23.

• Joshua Wheeler, 26, of Rumford, on a charge of operating after suspension, on Feb. 26. He is to be arraigned on April 6 in Rumford District Court.

• Charles Gaura, 19, of Andover, on a charge of civil possession of marijuana, on Feb. 15.
