AUBURN – Workshops targeted for small businesses are being offered at Central Maine Community College as part of the newly formed Small Business Institute in partnership with the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce.

The workshops will be delivered on CMCC’s Auburn campus presented by local experts.

In March, workshops will include: “Writing A Business Plan and Using It” with Armand Favreau, management consultant, on from 6 to 8 p.m. March 10 and 17, for $60; and “Got Financing?” presented by Van Perry, financial consultant, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. March 24 and 31 at a cost of $75.

In April, Bob Kasputes, director and certified business counselor at the Maine Small Business Development Center for Androscoggin County, will return for “Understanding Cash Flow” from 9 to 11 a.m. April 9 and 16. Registration is $60. “Profit Improvement,” presented by Bill Howell, CPA, CVA, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. April 28 for $35.

The series winds up with “Getting the Most Out of Your Advertising Dollar,” presented by Dick Gleason of Gleason Media Services, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 5. Registration is $40; and “Hiring to Build an Effective and Powerful Business,” presented by Art Boulay, president and chief talent officer, Organizational Productivity Inc., from 6 to 8 p.m. May 12 and 19. Registration is $60.
