1925 – 2004

LEWISTON – Lauretta Marie Bragg, 78, of 575 Main St., died Saturday, March 6, at Central Maine Medical Center.

Lauretta was born in Berlin, N.H., Nov. 30, 1925, the daughter of Alcide and Annie Lecombe Roy. She was educated in Berlin schools and later attended Notre Dame High School.

On Oct. 2, 1948, she married Ernest Bragg at SS. Peter and Paul Church. He died May 31, 1979. She worked for many years at the shipyard and was a part of the Rosie the Riveter group. She also worked at the Lewiston Woolen Mill and later retired from Jones & Vining in Lewiston.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and enjoyed putting together board puzzles.

Survivors include her son, Peter Paul Jodoin of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one sister, Rolande Roy of Lewiston and her family, Rachel Lemelin and her husband, Bert of Auburn and Roger Roy of Lewiston; John (Peter) Usereau and his wife, Barbara of Gorham, N.H., and their family, Jeanne Anne and her husband, John Palughi of Winchester, N.H. and Shelly Goodrum of Manchester N.H.; Joey, Sharon and Michael Picariello of California and their families; a niece, Jackie Roy of Lewiston and her family, Angela Dubuc and her husband, Steve of Auburn and Richard Roy and his wife, Missie of Fleming Island, Fla., and their family, Helen Johnson, Robert and Alice Libby of Greene; and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her faithful four-legged friend, Simon the cat.
