1923 – 2004

NORWAY – Marjorie B. Bean, 80, of South Paris died Saturday, March 6, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born in Norway, Dec. 5, 1923, the daughter of Leander Carl and Ruth White Austin. She married Pearly Bean on June 4, 1958. He passed away on Dec. 21, 1991. They resided in Minot for many years. She was employed at Gould & Scammon in Auburn and at the Minot Consolidated School.

She is survived by three stepsons, Ronald of Oxford, Rodney of South Paris and Robert of Casco; three sisters, Doris Tarr of Litchfield and Florida, Mavis Roy of Lancaster, Pa., and Barbara Lane of Lawrence, Mass.; a fourth sister, Mary E. Fitts died on Sunday, March 7; a brother, Robert Austin of Mechanic Falls; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Cleona Poole of St. Johnsbury, Vt.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Beatrice Ridley of South Paris and Louise Smith Diamant of South Paris; and a brother, Clarence (Sonny) Austin of Lawrence, Mass.
