Baseball, softball registration
PARIS – The town of Paris will be holding baseball and softball registration from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 14, and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, at the town office.
Cost is $25 per child, $50 per family maximum, $40 for Babe Ruth, not included in the family rate. Proof of age is required. These will be the only dates for registration.
Tax reform, relief forum
PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce Tax Reform, Tax Relief Forum with scheduled panelists will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
Scheduled panelists are state Economist Laurie Lachance and Director State Planning Office Martha Freeman. Scheduled topics are “Essential Elements of Comprehensive Tax Reform” and “Governor Baldacci’s Tax Relief Proposals.”
College assistance workshop
NORWAY – The Maine Educational Opportunity Center is offering a workshop on The Essentials of College Planning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 15, at the Norway Workforce Development Center.
This is a free workshop. MEOC services include assistance in choosing a college, tutoring, personal and financial counseling’ career counseling’ assistance in applying to college, workplace and college visits, and assistance in applying for financial aid. Flea market, bake sale scheduled
LOVELL – A flea market and bake sale will be held 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at the United Church of Christ. The sale will include crafts, antiques, furniture and Girl Scout cookies.
