1925 – 2004

WEST PARIS – Ruth J. Pulsifer, 78, of West Paris, died March 9, at Ledgeview Living Center following a long illness.

She was born in Woodstock on Sept. 12, 1925, the daughter of John W. and Hazel Louise (Bacon) Estes.

She was educated in North Paris schools and had worked as a stitcher at local shoe shops for many years.

She was a member of the Tri Town Rescue Auxiliary. Her family was her life and she loved to go out to eat.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and never missed a gathering to enjoy their company.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Pulsifer Jr. and his wife Lori of Rumford; two daughters, Dorene Wilbur and her husband Harold of Woodstock and Lois Abbott and her husband Rodney of West Paris; three brothers, Harold Estes and Fred Estes both of Livermore and Herbert Estes of West Paris; three sisters, Mary Robinson of West Sumner, Clara Wilson of West Paris and Florence Watson of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Laureen Bean of Milton Township, Dean Benson of South Paris, Devin Benson of Woodstock, Tanner Pulsifer of Scarborough and Tia Bean of Rumford; four great-grandchildren, William Bean and Audra Lynn Bean both of Milton Township, Chance Vacchaino of Rumford and Brianna Benson of Woodstock; two special friends, Sandra Mason and Shirley Moyse both of West Paris; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by six siblings, Inez Heart, Ralph Estes, Constance Estes, Charlotte Estes, Ivan Estes and Stan Estes.
