NOTE: This is the first installment of six articles being submitted to the Advocate, the following articles will be touching on each of the five financial areas mentioned below.

Practical Skills for Jacks and Jills is a fairly new class here at Leavitt. This semester the class is participating in a nation wide contest in money management, sponsored by Visa. The first place winner will receive five computers and money for school supplies. The purpose of the contest is to inform students of financial issues. In Practical Skills for Jacks and Jills, the students have broken up into small groups to prepare presentations on specific financial areas such as; earning, spending, and borrowing, saving, investing and insurance.
