1954 – 2004

HARRISON – James H. Higgins, 49, of Harrison, died Monday, March 8, at his home.

Born in Martinsville, Va., July 16, 1954, the son of Stanley and Jane Whitham Higgins, he attended Traip Academy.

He had been employed as a cable technician for Span-Pro. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and playing guitar. He loved the Patriots and was an animal lover. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy (Koss) Higgins of Harrison; two sons, Corey Higgins and his wife, Tara of Florida, and Sean Higgins of Windham; three stepdaughters, Marcie Koss of Windham, Ashley Koss of Lewiston and Bridgette Nadeau of Harrison; two brothers, Dale Higgins and his wife, Pat and Wayne Harris and his wife, Roberta, all of Kittery Point; his beloved dogs, Dingus Vaughn, Shredder Bear and Little Mr. Mike; and his cat, Scratch.

He was predeceased by a son, Johnny Higgins.
