PORTLAND (AP) – Jim Henkel had two goals and Justin Kelly scored the game-winner as the Lowell Lock Monsters scored three times in the third period and defeated the Portland Pirates 4-3 Wednesday in the American Hockey League.

Portland had a 2-1 lead going into the second intermission. After Matt Davidson scored the first goal of the game for Lowell (27-26-6-4) at 9:28 of the first period, Portland (23-23-12-7) took a 2-1 lead when Boyd Gordon and Francois Methot scored at 8:02 and 11:17 of the second.

After Henkel’s first goal tied it at two at 4:53 of the third, Jason Ulmer sent the Pirates ahead 3-2 on the power play at 6:25.

Henkel’s second goal tied it again at 12:41, and Kelly scored the game-winner at 13:24.
