1933 – 2004

RUMFORD – Pauline M. (Vallee) O’Leary, 70, wife of John J. O’Leary Sr. and daughter of Joseph and Annie Gallant Vallee, went home to be with the Lord on March 10.

Born in Rumford, March 16, 1933, she attended Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1952.

She will be greatly missed by her devoted and loving husband of 50 years. They were married Nov. 28, 1953 in Rumford. She was a life-long resident of Rumford her whole life, although she enjoyed many winters in Florida with John.

She also loved being surrounded by her large family and her favorite pastimes were playing cards and beating John at Skip Bo. She also loved camping together with all of her children and grandchildren every summer at Cathedral Pines.

Besides her husband John, she is survived by seven children, John J. and his wife, Sheryl of Rumford, Anne and her husband, Arthur Clifford of Rumford, Patricia and her husband, Jack Drakus of Andover, Kevin and his wife, Diane of Rumford, Philip and his wife, Tina of Rumford, Louis of Rumford and Marcie and her husband, Thom Surette of Rumford; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Gerard Vallee of Rumford, Charles Vallee of Georgia, and Rudy Vallee of Sharon, Tenn.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Laurence and Norman Vallee; sister, Germaine Royer; and great-grandson, Lucas Vining.
