Seniors to meet

OXFORD – The Lake Thompson Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, at the American Legion Hall on Route 121. Dinner will be served by the Rock-O-Dundee Snowmobile Club. Each member should bring their own place setting and something for a silent auction. Guests and new members are welcome.

Free seminar

WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Seventh-day Adventist Church is hosting a free seminar on building healthy relationships such as marriage, parent/child, employer/employee and even friend to friend, Friday, March 26, and Saturday, March 27. The sessions will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 26 and 9:45 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. March 27.

Blood drive

BRIDGTON – The American Red Cross is sponsoring a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Bridgton Academy, Route 37, North Bridgton. For more information and an appointment, call 1-800-482-0743.

AARP trips

PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter of the AARP, friends and families are participating in a one-day bus trip Tuesday, May 11, to the Mt. Washington Hotel and Resort for a buffet lunch and tour. The return trip will include a shopping trip in North Conway, N.H. The bus leaves the old Ames parking lot in Oxford at 9 a.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m. The price is $54 per person and includes the bus, lunch and tour. Non members add $2.

Reservations should be made soon by calling Walter or Henrietta Taft at (207) 743-6722. Send a deposit of $29 to hold your seat. The remaining $25 is due by May 4. Mail check to Walter Taft, 1024 Gore Road, Otisfield, ME 04270. Seats are assigned in order of receipt of deposit check.

Other trips include museum visits on June 24; a day cruise on Moosehead Lake in August; a weekend day whale watch cruise out of Rye, N.H., in September; foliage trip to the Balsams via Rangeley Lakes, Oct. 6; three-day, two-night weekend tour to New York City including Radio City Christmas Show in December.

The Shelburne Museum trip has been postponed until next May 2005 during Lilac and Apple Blossom time in Vermont.
