AUGUSTA – The Maine Small Business Alliance, an independent, statewide, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization advocating for the interests of small business in Maine has moved its offices from Portland to Augusta. The new contact information is: Maine Small Business Alliance, One Bangor St., Augusta, ME 04330, 207-622-6500.

“As a statewide organization, locating the office in Augusta brings us closer to statewide issues and policy leaders and to our members north, east and west of Augusta,” explained Deborah Cook, executive director of MSBA.

The Maine Small Business Alliance’s non-partisan advocacy agenda is focused around five key components: (1) affordable, accessible health care; (2) support for the small business owner’s most valuable resource – the employee – through employee education and training programs; (3) a recognition that preserving Maine’s environment makes both ethical and business sense; (4) an emphasis on research and infrastructure investment as a way to spur economic development; and (5) increased attention to the critical economic role of small business.
