AUBURN – New Auburn American Legion Boy Scout Troop 153 is making plans to raise money for a trailer, which will be used to transport camping gear when attending an overnight camping event or other troop functions.

The Scouts are planning a “Sunday Afternoon of Enjoyment” program on Sunday, March 21, at American Legion Post 31, Washington Street. The event will start at noon with lunch. A program will follow with Paul Farrell and the Silver Tones, the D and D Line Dancers and a skit put on by the Scout troop.

The Scouts are asking for a donation of $6.50 a person to cover some of the expenses and still allow funds to go toward their project.

The Scouts have taken part in many community projects and now have to ask support. They are accepting donations to carry on their “We Care” programs. Raffles will also be held at the fund-raiser. Anyone who would like to donate can call Ray or Edith Lemieux at 784-0656.
