JAY – Police are investigating windows smashed out of five trucks parked at an International Paper construction lot at Jay Plaza. Two vehicles also had several items, including cash taken from them.
Officer Russell Adams said the vehicles were parked in the night lot adjacent to Hannaford when the incidents happened March 9.
Trucks models from 1996 to 2003 that had windows broken were owned by Shannon McDaniel of Arizona, Glenn Guillory of Alabama, Joseph Kobitz of Alabama, Roger Baldridge of Texas and Robert Cole of Louisiana, Adams said.
Baldridge’s truck also had compact discs and a knife stolen, he said.
Cole’s truck had compact discs, a camera, cash and personal identification taken, Adams said.
