CYPRESS, Calif. – Marie Zobel, 69, died Wednesday, March 10, at her residence in Cypress, Calif., where she had lived for many years. She was formerly of Rumford.

Born in Rumford, Sept. 9, 1934, a daughter of Ralph and Marie M. (Lavorgna) DeSalle, she graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford with the Class of 1952.

She had worked as an administrative secretary in California for many years.

Survivors include two sons, William Zobel and wife, Sylvia of San Diego, Calif., and Gregory Zobel and wife, Ronna of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; a daughter, Pamela Thropp and husband, William of Lake Oswego, Ore.; a sister, Concetta Hutchinson of Bethel; and seven grandchildren.
