LIVERMORE FALLS – Water District trustees agreed to purchase a new pickup truck when they met Wednesday morning. This will replace the truck driven by Superintendent Doug Burdo.

The board also agreed to get more information on the cost of digital mapping so it could be included with other capital budget items that will be considered at the April 14 annual meeting.

Burdo announced that the Route 4 construction now is scheduled to be dug in 2005 and constructed in 2006-07. More work will need to be done to finish the loan/grant application to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, he said.

Included will be an engineering report and an environmental review which, hopefully, can be cost shared with the towns of Livermore Falls and Jay. The district will also have to do a site specific income evaluation.

The board denied a request from a customer who wanted a $2.01 adjustment to a bill that had not been paid on time. The reason given was that the customer was sick when the bill was due.

Trustees noted that customers receive their bills 30 days before they are due and should have ample time to pay them.
