1916 – 2004
LEWISTON – Mrs. Liane C. Blanchette, 87, of Wildwood Drive, died Sunday morning, March 21, at d’Youville Pavilion with her family at her side.
She was born in Lewiston, May 17, 1916, a daughter of Charles and Marie (Bilodeau) Belanger. She was educated in Lewiston schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.
On May 22, 1937 she married Jerry Blanchette, who died on June 7, 1987. She was a partner with her late husband and worked nearly 45 years in the family businesses, running the offices for Blanchette Painting and J & R Realty until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Family Church. In her free time, she greatly enjoyed gardening and spending time in the outdoors. She also liked being at their summer home at Small Point.
She leaves a son, Ronald Blanchette of Lewiston; 2 grandchildren, John Blanchette of Lewiston and Michelle McKinnon and her husband, Doug of Concord, N.H.; 1 great-grandson, Kyle McKinnon and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Charles.
