AUBURN – Sharon Millet, owner of Coldwell Banker Millett Realty, has been elected to the board of directors of Auburn Savings & Loan, said the board chairwoman, Claire Thompson.
Millet is a member of the Maine Real Estate Commission and oversees the operations of her full-service residential and commercial brokerage firm, which has a sales force of 35.
Nationally, she served as the 1999 president of the National Association of Realtors, which has 900,000 members, and is past chairman of the Fannie Mae National Advisory Council. Under her leadership, the advisory council wrote reports that became the foundation for the changes to agency laws and rules in 43 states over a five-year period. Internationally, Sharon is past president of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associates, which has members in 23 countries and over 1 million members.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Sharon’s stature on our board. We know she will be a great addition to the leadership of our organization,” said Allen Sterling, president of Auburn Savings & Loan.

In 2004, Auburn Savings will open a new branch at the intersection of Orange and Sabattus streets in Lewiston, directly across from St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
