1919 – 2004
LEWISTON – Mary M. Shaban, 85, formerly of 30 Tailwind Court., Auburn, died Monday afternoon, March 22, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born March 13, 1919, in Lewiston the daughter of Stanislouas and Mary Matas (Shaban) Sabanas. She was educated in Lewiston schools. She worked at the Pepperell and Bates Mills. She also worked for Clark Shoe and Raytheon.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s church, and the Rosary Sodality of St. Patrick’s, and a member of the Daughters of Lithuania. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, tatting, socializing and laughter. She was a wonderful caring person who loved and cared for all of her family.
She is survived by a brother, Isadore “Stan” Shaban of Lisbon; a niece, Diane Peseckis of Lisbon; a great-niece, Lana Woodcock of Portsmouth, N.H.; and a great-great-niece, Nastasya Woodcock of Portsmouth, N.H.
